I Can Do 100 Push Ups, Can You?

Here is a video of me trying to do 100 push ups. How many did I actually do?

Watch the video below:

This was part of my initial test on hundredpushups.com. They have a training schedule that shows you how to do 100 push ups in 6 weeks. Quite an ambitious goal, but I’m an ambitious guy so I’ll go for it.

Anyone want to try it out with me?

I’ll take that challenge. I need something to get me going these days. I’m so NOT active.

I can probably do 7.2 pushups.

ok I’m in. I hopped on Wii Fit last night and it wasn’t a pretty picture. My little wii guy is a fatty. I haven’t done a push up in a looong time. If I get to 10 in my initial test I’m going to throw a party.

    Way to go!

I did 7 “manly” push-ups for my initial test, so we’ll see how far I can get towards 100.

If I can make it to 50 in 6 weeks, though, I’ll be pretty geeked about that.

    41?! Pete, you’re a stud.

All the rest of us will be studly too in 6 weeks when we’re rockin’ the 100. (Except for my wife who’s cute, feminine and non-studly regardless of how many push ups she can do.)

    Any other takers?

    100 push-ips in 6 weeks?

That’s only 2 point something per day – even I could do that!

You reminded me to get back to doing mine… until it got to be blistering hot outside I would do about 100-150 through a 3-4 mile walk. Still do the walk but have stopped on the ups for a while until it gets a little cooler, but I sure felt better when I was doing them

At 18 I was a paratrooper in the Army. I could run a 4 minute mile, swim 2 miles while pulling a rowboat, punch a hole in a brick wall and stop the rain with just a sideways glance. I’m not 18 anymore.

At 31, I’ve started to understand why it was a bad decision to trade my gym membership for a six pack of beer.

I’m with xpandy: 2 point something per day sounds doable.

I’ve got a buddy who has been doing this program for a few weeks. He told me about it but I never could remember what it was…until your post. I’m in! Beginning Monday. I did 18 this eve.

    this is jeanette.
and my mom showed me the challege of the 100 pushups in six weeks.
well she declared i couldnt beat your twenty three.
and with my prideful willpowered self, i got down just because she said i couldnt and did 24. :]

Personally, I was stunned, as I didn’t think she could do more than 10, but it does show me her determination which can be channeled positively. Not that doing 100 pushups isn’t positive. Thanks for the challenge. Debbie
